Yes. On November 11, 2021, the first-ever Uno tournament was held in Las Vegas. The winners of the tournament were Aldwin Rodriguez and Esports Arena.

There weren’t any Uno tournaments before this. Still, eventually, on the 50th anniversary of Uno, Mattel decided to host a world championship to recognize the world Uno champions and to promote the game better.

It was a pay-off tribute to the vast Uno fan base globally. The professional tournaments were held in rounds – regional, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and then the grand finale.

How does a UNO tournament work?

The Uno tournament usually works in rounds. There is an initial process of registration. If the candidates qualify for the essential eligibility criteria, they can participate in the contest. Usually, the game starts with several rounds from which the toppers are selected.
